Thank you to all who supported The Great PSA Debate

On 10th November, in Leamington Spa, in a lively and fascinating debate organised by the Prostate Cancer Support Federation, Prostate UK and The Graham Fulford Charitiable Trust, 6 eminent invited speakers, not all of them dedicated advocates of the PSA Test, and 100 patients unanimously agreed to the motion “Every man at risk of prostate disease (i.e. men over 50, or 40 for men with other risk factors) should be made aware of the PSA test, its benefits and limitations and should be able to freely exercise his right to have it”. The results of the debate will be passed to the National Screening Committee to inform their recommendations on prostate cancer screening, due for publication next Spring. A fuller report will be posted here very soon.
